A few questions: 1. Do we have any surviving accessible accounts of the names of ALL 313 people....and if so, do u know where we can find it (preferably in English)? 2. How strong are these hadiths? (ie. are they considered almost 100% verified or are they weaker)......if different books vary in the names then it may be because different books quote different hadiths in which there are differences in the names and thus the reliability of the hadiths may be in question. 3. Will any of the 313 be females? I know that there will be females who are members of the army but Im not sure about the 313. 4. What portion of the 313 are actually named and what portion are given a title such as Abu Maryam etc (ie. are most of them names or titles) Thanks alot sis! wasalaam .Back to top .. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #27 SpIzo SpIzo Member Advanced Members 8,419 posts Posted 08 November 2006 - 10:07 AM I found this list while going through this thread: shiachat....533;entry423314 Saint Anger said The list itself is not complete.. Yep, I wasnt referring to hadiths about there being 313 leaders, but rather the hadiths which name the 313. What kind of extensive accounts are you referring to? Their characters and/or actual demographic information about them? Quote 40 members out of the 313 will be females. It is mentioned in a few hadiths. Hmm interesting. Advanced Members 3,406 posts Posted 09 November 2006 - 06:16 AM Sis Ruqayah, here are two hadeeths that I have come across that mention women in them: Women in the Imams army: Quote Imam Jaafar ibne Muhammad as-Sadqiq has said: There will be thirteen women alongside al-Qaim (when he makes his advent). Al-Mufaddhal (the narrator of this tradition) asked the Imam: And what will their role be? The Imam replied: They will treat the injured and look after the sick just as the (women did) at the time of the Messenger of Allah (during the battles). - Reference: Ithbatul Hudat, Volume 7, Page 150 The first ranked soldiers of the Imam: Quote Imam Muhammad ibne Ali al-Baqir said: ... Indeed he (al-Mahdi) will come and I swear by Allah that there will be three hundred and ten and some off number of men with him and among them there will be fifty women who will all gather together in Makkah (to help him)... - Reference: Biharul Anwar, Volume 52, Page 223; Tasfir of al-Ayyashi .Back to top .. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #33 maqnouteh maqnouteh Member Advanced Members 403 posts Posted 09 November 2006 - 08:43 AM Salaam: Thanksfor asking the question sis..have been able to learn so much more Jazakumullah kheyr all! Antakya- Turkey I think the modern name for the other places is also mentioned but will have to go n search it up ok? Salvation (perhaps meaning to say that we have found salvation). (most people have given lists of muslim names, again this is a contridiction if imam Zaman is meant to be the imam of the PEOPLE and not only restricted to the muslims) those that want to hasten imam zamans appearance are wrong to do so (e.g my countries crazy leader), for everthing has its own time and space; events have to come and go for other events to come by, but in their own time (this must not be altered). Do not think that because you are a muslim you are superior from other people who are not, for the imam will judge you by the purity of your heart (intentions), and not your religion. Religion is there to help you gain and maintain a purere heart, it is not a passive mark of greatness, some people achieve this via religion, some do it without, they should both be seen and accepted equally. wasaalam .Back to top .. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #44 Serenity` Serenity` The veil is not a limit. Along side him will be his companions, 313 in number. Quote Question 2) Who will be in his army? (most people have given lists of muslim names, again this is a contridiction if imam Zaman is meant to be the imam of the PEOPLE and not only restricted to the muslims) Imam Mahdi will be the saviour of humanity, or as you say the Imam of the people. When Muslims only mention Muslim names, I think it has to do with how a believer is described in the Holy Quran. Even though non-Muslim names may not be mentioned, they would not be deprived of Imam Mahdi. Everyone will be invited to the truth, everyone will be given the chance to know Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì through him, and to accept it. However, everyone also has the chance now to search for the truth, before his advent - It is part of our innate nature to do so. And this would be the ultimate decider, we can call it part of the filtration process to seek out the very best amongst us, those whom will serve and stand near our Imam at the time of re-appearance. And due to Allahs infinite Mercy, no-one is deprived of such a blessing and achievement, not before the return of our Imam and not after. About your last question, in regards to feeling superior to non-Muslims based on religion - We are all Gods creatures, the only distinction between individuals before Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì, is based on their level of piety. .Back to top .. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #45 Sayed_Amir Sayed_Amir Member Advanced Members 172 posts Posted 21 November 2006 - 12:54 PM JIN^BHAI, on Sep 19 2005, 07:56 AM, said: salam No i have an arabic version sis.. and not the whole book. i photocopied these pages from a visiting alim and gave him the book back. What if one of Imam Mahdis 313 is so advanced in his piety and what not that he pretends to be the most eviliest man on earth and yet he has a heart that only Allah knows. For him life is like this. If he becomes good, he is so good that even the most piest of men stand around and ask him HOW to attain spiritual piety. And if HE decides to go evil, he is so bad that even Iblees would say that hes beaten me in his evilness. Thats right, worser than Marilyn Manson For him life is just an act, he can be extremely good or extremely evil. What do you think? Will he be amongst the chosen few? P.S. It doesnt matter what you think. It doesnt matter what you think. He knows who i am and i know who he is. I believe that our level of piety will manifest in the way we conduct ourselves. Someone who has a high level of piety, will not pretend to be an evil person, as this action will contradict his true beliefs as a Muslim - As well as, faith and works going hand in hand. Also, we have hadeeths that mention the characteristics of those who will be in the Imams army, so that gives us an indictation and also guides us in the right direction. And being evil, well, thats one of the abhorred traits mentioned in hadeeths and the Holy Quran. We submit to the word of Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì and cannot go near the prohibited, in this case taking on the role of an evil person, consequently harming ourselves and those around us and causing the displeasure of Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì. Our actions reflect our true beliefs. .Back to top .. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #50 ya_ali_786 ya_ali_786 LIVE LIKE ALI(AS), DIE LIKE HUSSIAN(AS) Basic Members 41 posts Posted 23 November 2006 - 02:11 PM can these name change??? .Back to top .. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PrevPage 2 of 4 1 2 3 4 Next.Back to Imam Mahdi (af) Forum . . 1 user(s) are reading this topic 0 members, 1 guests, 0 anonymous users .Reply to quoted posts Clear ShiaChat→ Main Forums→ Imam Mahdi (af) ForumPrivacy Policy Rules & Guidelines · ..
