June 13, 2013 Happy Alumniversary! As we move forward with our lives, I would like to take a moment to appreciate this new but weird, studious but crazy, challenging but smooth, and remembered and reminisced year! We are now amongst the greatest alumni of The Central High School of Philadelphia, Felicidades! Thank you for being an integral part of what the distinguished 271st Class of Central High School is today. In whichever way and however you made your contribution, it is evident that we have become who we are today, because of you! Thank you! As your president, I have observed your determination and unity. As your fellow classmate, I have seen your intellectual ability. As your friend, I have felt your humanity. However, the defining trait that sets you and all of us apart is our desire to help each other. As we embark on a new journey to bigger or smaller places, always remember to give back and lend a helping hand to all of those in need. Although we have left, let us never lose the memories we have created. While miles shall drive us apart, our experiences are sure to keep us close together. We are 271, and no one will ever take that away from each and everyone of us; the lessons we learned, the laughs we shared, and the friendships we made, all of that belongs to you, to me, to us! My dear sibling, go out into the world, chase your dreams, catch them and make them a part of your life. Never forget your past, and while it does not dictate your future, it has helped define you. You are special and in that very inordinate way you shall continue to contribute towards the evolution of a brighter tomorrow and a much more prosperous world! I know you, I believe in you, I will never forget you and I will always love you! Godspeed! With love and admiration and a “rock the red and gold” chant, I wish you the best of luck.
