June 27, 2014 Session: Four (4) committees rendered their reports: 1. Committee on Culture & Arts, NGOs and Civil Society. We continue to accredit legitimate non-government organizations; with emphasis on the word “legitimate”. 2. Committee on Good Government, Justice and Human Rights. We take up complaints and cases lodged in our sanggunian against erring elected officials. But complaints must be in proper form and substance. Not just designed to assassinate the character of individuals who also have families and relatives who suffer. 3. Committee on Trade & Industry. A ‘Revised Bohol Investment Code’ has just been favorable passed on First Reading. This is designed to entice investors to come to our province and bring in their much-needed capital. 4. Committee on Public Utilities and Franchises. There are individuals and business firms that apply for Water Rights in various parts of our province. We see to it that this is properly announced in accordance with law and our Provincial Planning Office is informed of these applications in case there are objections.
