UNWTO preps on course: ited Nations World Tourism Organisation General Assembly with a total of over 600 rooms booked to date in the resort town of Victoria Falls. With less than two weeks before Zimbabwe and Zambia co-host the 20th session of the UNWTO General Assembly, the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry says the response from participants has been overwhelming. In a speech during the handover ceremony of UNWTO equipment by telecommunications firm Tel-One, Minister Walter Mzembi said 65 countries have been accredited with 15 others expected to be accredited before the conference. Meanwhile, Tel-One handed over to the ministry 11 direct lines, two fax lines and free data connectivity for the UNWTO secretariat. The company also gave five desktops as well as free data vouchers for all the delegates. The UNWTO General Assembly runs from the 24th to the 29th of August in the resort towns of Victoria Falls and Livingstone in Zambia.
