Forecast in detail A mainly cloudy afternoon with some outbreaks of rain, these mainly light and patchy and dying out at times. During this afternoon the cloud will thin at times to allow a few bright intervals to come through. A mild and muggy afternoon with temperatures generally around 12 Celsius but rising to 15 Celsius where we are lucky enough to see some brightness, this most likely in Finstown and Sullom Voe. Winds will be southeasterly generally a force 5. Staying cloudy through this evening and overnight and becoming progressively more murky as the southeasterly wind continues to bring mild conditions in across the Northern Isles. Towards the end of the night, an area of more general rain, will spread across from the west this mainly fairly light. Temperatures tonight, are unlikely to dip much lower than 11 Celsius, with force 5 southeasterly winds. Outlook for Rest of week Staying generally fairly misty and murky with outbreaks of rain this heaviest on Wednesday and again on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
