Just A Thought: Psalm 46:10 reads, Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the Earth. Who are the heathen? Good question. Biblically speaking, every person outside the FOLD of Israel, non-Jewish person, is considered heathen to God. The gentile nations, gentile tongues, gentile gods and various religions of the Gentiles are all outside of the nation of Israel, heathen. You can educate yourself and have many Ph.Ds behind your name, that does not make you a non-heathen. You can study all of the greatest art in the world and become a wonderful artist. Your paintings can become famous. That does not make you a non-heathen. We think of heathens as poor isolated jungle people. They are heathens but materialistic societies are just as heathen as they. You can paint a pig, place a beautiful gold earring in his snout, put lipstick on him and a lovely hat on his head, he is still a PIG! God referenced the gentiles as dogs! A dog returns to his own vomit. The only reason Gentiles are now able to know God is directly due to Israel turning their back on Him. Gods GRACE grafted us into the VINE, (Jesus). When Israel turned away from God, God said, I will make my bride (Israel) jealous. I will open a fountain filled with BLOOD drawn from Immanuels veins, and sinners (we Gentile heathen too) plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stains. We know what jealousy is. We have all experienced jealousy. An infant likes to be with them more than me? A child likes that uncle more than me? A dear loved one would rather do something with that family member more than be with me? JEALOUSY! Jealousy, the green-eyed monster. I praise God that He, by His grace, saw that this Gentile-heathen dog, could come and sit at His table. Your bible says, To the Jew first, and also to the Greek. The Greek? YES... The Gentile-heathen GREEK! For God so loved the WORLD (everyone) that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER (Jew And Gentile) believeth on Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. Im thankful for God loving the WHOLE-WIDE WORLD. He gave His GRACE to the Gentile-heathen too. Hey, thats me! Just A Thought
