Just a day before I ordered my copy of Dilip Kumars autobiography The Substance And The Shadow and Lo, its in my hands today. Its an illustrated document with so many pictures of the thespian. Saira Banu has written the foreword while Udaytara Nayar scripted the narrative. Amitabh, Dahrmendra, Lata, Sharmila, Vajayntimala, Amir Khan, Nanda, Nimmi, Rishi Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Wheeda Rehman, Manoj Kumar and a host others have contributed with their reminiscences. No I am not in a hurry to finish reading it since I know many things already in the book, also that I have to taste each and every word almost on the tip of my tongue and savour it. The book has the first person account of the Tragedy King.
