Just a follow-up, last week the Senate HELP committee reported favorably on S 1356, as amended. This bill reauthorizes the Rehab Act and WIA but removes the Rehabilitation Services Administration, RSA, from the Dept of Education to the Dept of Labor and among other things, dilutes the Comprehensive System of Personnel Development credentials for rehabilitation counselors. NRA anticipates S 1356 as amended to reach the Floor in late Sept or Oct. NRA and MRA will continue their advocacy throughout the summer and will keep you informed as things happen.
