Just a friendly reminder one cyclist to another- when traveling on public roads (such as highway 28) in the dark, Louisiana law requires a front facing white light visible to at least 500 feet with a rear facing red light visible to 500 feet. It is pretty frightening to come up on a group of fellow cyclists while driving and not see them at all until they are about 15 feet away, and then have them become invisible again in the rear view mirror because there are no visible lights among the entire group. Its important for all of us as cyclists and drivers to make bike safety a priority! Be careful out there!!! brgov/dept/planning/bike/lalaw.htm#RS%2032:329.1
