Just a little note...... Screening for diabetes is easy ! Now that we have a child in the family that has been diagnosed its even easier! First relations ( meaning her parents ans siblings ) can be screened up to age 45.second relations ( meaning young cousins and so on ) can.be screened up to age 20. Just because the antibodies show up does not mean they will get diabetes. They also use these screenings as research to one day find a cure or even better treatment. Knowledge is power.
