Just a little note on reviews: I am so grateful and love receiving reviews and no doubt they are very important to a books progress. I want to thank you all so much for taking the time and trouble to post them for me. My heart soars when I read them. Each time I release a book I worry about you all, hoping you will like it and that I havent let you down. So when I hear you are enjoying it I feel the pressure coming off and that everything is okay. It isnt just a confidence thing, though I am still in that zone of - I cant believe this is happening to me - something I wonder if Ill ever lose after twenty years in the wilderness, but a genuine desire to please you all, as you are so important to me. It is you that found me when I was lost and took a chance on me when I had finally put my work out there. Amazon are, a little touchy about reviews. They do have a point. They feel that if a friend puts up a review it could be biased. That the friend feels intimidated into having to put up a good review and that this may be misleading to other readers. Evidence suggests that they have checked on here as we do know of incidents where reviews have been removed from authors lists and those reviews were from FB friends. None of mine have, thank goodness. And I have emailed them and pointed out that by having pages on here where we connect to our readers, we are increasing their sales, so it isnt good practice for them to counteract that goodwill by blocking our reviews. They did not answer but do seem to have stopped interfering in that way. However, I think it best that we keep reviews impersonal so when you read my replies you make think they read as if you are a stranger to me. I hate doing that, but think it best. Having said this I dont want any of you to feel under any pressure to write a review, or to feel that if you do it has to be a good one. I want us to remain free of any shackles or obligations or pressure - as we are. And that is why our friendships are deepening, because they are built on solid ground and genuine love, and not on marketing strategies. My books have brought us together, but they are not all we are about. We are a lovely caring community. I am blessed to have you all in my life, you enrich it, and I love you all xxxx
