Just a little reminder to my local community: You have access to fantastic health care within your community. Sure you may not agree with all decisions made by the health professionals, but they are there to look after you. Many Australians dont have access to health care, certainly not an Emergency Department or a GP 24/7. Dont get me started on the millions around the world dying from a lack of access to health care! So before you put a fb status up bagging out the place, think about how easy it is to see a doctor when you want, how well looked after your grandmothers & grandfathers are, how when your family member has surgery hours away they are able to be transferred home afterwards, how your terminally ill loved ones are able to be cared for with dignity surrounded by their loved ones minutes from home. The list goes on. So please be grateful for what you have, for your access to health care. Be grateful for the health professionals who care for you and who are doing the best they can.
