Just a note to say a heartfelt “THANK YOU” to all the folk who sent Birthday wishes today on the 63rd anniversary of my birth. Sometimes it is small gestures that are too often taken for granted that can perk you up and offer encouragement. I have heard from folk far and wide, from people who I have known since we were in diapers together (the cloth kind and before anyone thinks, they were not Depends) to folks who have been friends for years to those of you I have been acquainted with thru political activities, even from folks who I have never met in person but we have grown to know one another thru this thing called the internet. You have truly made an aging traveler on life’s highway happier and for that I can never be appreciative enough. And to those of you who are worried, do not my friends, for I leave you with a favorite quote of long standing and the promise that I will be around long enough to see Lane elected to City Council..THAT YOU CAN TAKE TO THE BANK! , so I leave you with this quote from Robert Frost.... “The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. Thank you my friends. TOGETHER, Let’s keep hope alive.
