Just a quick race report on the 50km world trophy final. We were hoping for some reasonable conditions but unfortunately that didnt happen. With 30c and extreme humidity runners were soon in difficulty as replacing fluids and electrolytes became impossible. Tash Fraser was sitting midfield but at 25km started suffering dizziness and had to sit down for a while. She gradually improved and started running again but stomach problems and cramping became a problem after that. To her credit she managed to dig as deep as she could given the circumstances and finished the race in 15th spot.
