So today finally we started and had initially 9 kids show up without parents, then after the smiles and the first nervousness they were all laughter and fun, eating their belizean style breakfast, eggs, beans tortilla , meat .... They toke their little lunch bag with them , bad of water , JHONNY cake with cheese and meat and a little bag of chips .....very polite without asking they all said thank you and went their way ....surprise was when 4 came back with one very shy boy that was hungry but didnt dare to come in.....easily they made sure that he also sat down and got a full meal, while they were telling me that they a times would buy him a pack of cookies out of their money cause he didnt have anything to eat ..... So now he is welcome everyday here to have his breakfast and a lunch to take to school..... I wont be surprised that the same kids thats how up will bring in more kids and that they promote it more then their parents or teachers will..... I hope that the goal of 20-30 kids will reach , but it will be a task , so if anybody out there feels like giving us a helping hand , feel free to contact me at belizeshuttle@yahoo , anything is welcome and for sure you will see the results on Facebook .....
