Just a quick update, I know it has been a while since I have shared much about how Katelynn is or what we are up to. The biggest change in life is that on Saturday, March 29th we welcomed Parker Ryan into our little (or not so little now) family. Katelynn is very excited about this addition. Her first thoughts shared with us were I wanted a baby brother. Now Aiden can bug him instead of me! While I am not as optimistic as her, maybe it will take some of the teasing off of her :) I will post pictures after the update :) Katelynn is doing well. Since the changes in her medication we have seen an improvement in her physio and in day to day life. We dont see the fluctuations in day to day activities that we used to see and we rarely see her drag her leg anymore. And her massive rage is gone - Praise the Lord!!!! The neatest thing to see though is how clear and focused she has become. On the first medication she was on, it was hard to get her attention and to feel confident that she really heard anything you were asking or telling her. But since the medication change in November, she has really brightened.... you can see it in her eyes, she seems more alert, happier, even more eager. It is so nice, so reassuring to see her like this. We would like to ask for prayer as we head into this next week as Katelynn has another MRI on Thursday the 10th. It is the same as all the other times, checking to see if the tumor has shown any signs of growth. I may be incorrect, but I think that this will have to be at least the 10th time Katelynn has to undergo anesthetic. She will have to continue going under until she is 7 or 8 years old. Please pray that the tumor would show no signs of growth but rather signs of disappearing. While we dont anticipate anything negative, it is still a nerve wracking experience for us and it would just be nice if that tumor was no longer in there :) Thank you for your prayers in the next week :) May God keep and bless each of you.
