Just a reminder that kennel cough season is upon us! We have been cautioned by several local vet offices to be sensitive to the signs - hacking, coughing, sneezing and runny nose and eyes. 4 Paws Academy requires the kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine, which must be given yearly. Please check with your vet to make sure your dog is up to date! We are committed to providing the safest and healthiest environment possible for dogs and humans. If your dog(s) shows any of the above symptoms, please visit your vet and avoid contact with other dogs as much as possible. Also, if a dog displays any of the above symptoms while attending Day School, Daycare or class they will be sent home. The kennel cough vaccine is a great preventative, but there are others. General immune boosting and respiratory health supplements are equally as valuable to dogs as they are to humans during this transitional time of year. Any 4 Paws staff member is available for recommendations! We appreciate your efforts to keep the 4 Paws family happy and healthy!
