Just a simple, short, quick little project, I say, take the twenty-eight porcelain knobs off cupboard doors and drawers and replace them with nice hearvy antique brass (colored) knobs. Nooooooooo, says the hardware gremlin, this shall not be a simple, short, quick little project. I shall make sure most of the fasteners, already on the doors and drawers, are too long for the new knobs. I shall also make sure most of the fasteners Ron has in the parts drawer are too long or too short for your simple, short, quick little project. And just for good measure, years ago, I asked my cabinet making gremlin friend to be sure that none of your drawers and doors are the same thickness, so that what worked on the last drawer will not work on the next one . . .
