Just a weird question I will probably delete in a while... I left everything running at my old house while it is on the market, thinking the costs would be minimal. But my gas bill has been absolutely stupid outrageous. The total gas bill for my apartment this month was $9.52, and the gas bill for the big house (which is empty, heat off, nothing being used, washer/dryer removed) was $66.08. It was barely less than the cost for the month of last year even though the house is completely empty. I called the gas company and told them to turn off the gas (electric and water are still on) but they could not give me a good reason why the gas bill was so high with nobody in the house. WTH?!?! If somebody is trying to siphon my gas, I hope it turns off right in the middle of their plans to take over the world!! But seriously, any ideas what it could be??
