Just added a handheld Garmin GPS to the kit today. Looking at heading into areas of Australian bush where phones dont work properly and roads dont exist. I should be able to hike further and deeper into the scrub and steep canyons to still find my way back to the car..........I hope, LOL. If you go out bush and walk too far off the known tracks, it is very easy to get lost. Now.....time to start watching Bear Grylls episodes. ;)
