Just an observation , the golden hour seems to have been replaced by stay and play I recently sat stuck in traffic on a Cape Town highway after a pedestrian had been knocked down , forty minutes later and EMS still sitting alongside the road , not even close to packaging the patient for transport (only 5min from a level one trauma unit) , reason awaiting the arrival of a BTech to RSI, long after i had driven past this critical patient still remained on scene..... I wish that this was an isolated experience but its become the norm.... The more we move forward the further we go backwards.... Was the golden hour principal only taught long ago in vocational colleges or is it also an Higher education teaching?
