Just an update on Mom. Her kidney transplant is doing fine, no complications with that. The concern is her mental status which the doctors believe is being caused by an infection, possibly to her central nervous system. She has been moaning, trouble speaking and basically incoherent. They performed a lumbar puncture to her spine to test for the fluids around her spine or brain on Monday. Some results came back indicating no fluid on her brain and white blood cell count is good. The rest of those tests should be in today. Tuesday evening they did an MRI, those tests should be in today. She had not slept for two days and Tuesday morning they sedated her so she could rest. I will keep you updated as we know more. In the meantime, thank you all for the prayers coming our way. We feel very blessed.
