Just an update on the Barbary Dove. Despite having asked Stuart to please not euthanize the bird (which he hasnt) because I had two offers for a new home from caring likers if he has no response from the rightful owner through parrotalert we received the following email from him today. Stuarts reply: I never had any intention of euthanizing the dove, I did not join WIRES to destroy wildlife. I have made every attempt to find the dove a new home, but as yet nobody has rung me. I have even offered to deliver it in Sydney! Offers from Brisbane or Grafton I dont think are credible for a bird that can be bought for $5 to $10 from a pet shop. I have held the Dove for two weeks now and I have other sick and injured native birds to look after, so today I am taking it to the RSPCA shelter at Yagoona. So unless I receive a call in the next couple of hours they are the people to contact.
