Just arrived home, five days on the trail, completed the Trans Catalina trail with both my sons. A great walk-about on the island, 51 miles total with turn around. If you get a chance do this walk, it was wonderful! If you do bring your A game, train and get ready. The grades were continual up and down and steep angles. I rate this as one of my most difficult in many years. It was a strenuous, long and an exhilarating trek across the length and breadth of Catalina. Worth the work.
