Ive talked a lot about Tsu, only a few have listened. I want to share something with you guys here from the Site creator, Sebastian Sobczak. This is a post directly from him as of yesterday, 12/18/2014, Sebastian Sobczak a day ago#tsuDonationNation update – together we have helped generate USD$18,000 in donations for @charitywater, which will build 3 hand-dug Ethiopian water wells. In an amazing chain of events, I wanted to share this with you as this is something going back to our work with charity: water a few weeks ago when we tried to raise $3,000 towards a $6,000 water well in a test of our peer-to-peer system. Our community collaborated in crowd-funding ~$5,200 towards a water well through charity: water’s tsu page and the funds stemmed from users tsu royalty streams about 3 weeks into our existence. tsu itself contributed the last bit to reach that entire $6,000 amount in order to build one water well ourselves. Our thoughts and interactions, our baby photos, our music lyrics and selfies became a currency that was donated in remarkable fashion to affect people’s lives. What is more, is that some Bank of America Merrill Lynch employees who are on tsu saw the value of what our community had done and generously matched the ~$6,000 raised by us in support of a 2nd Ethiopian water well, which will also be named ‘tsu’. Not only that, the financial institution itself is matching what its employees have matched, bringing the total funds raised from our initial effort for charity: water to $18,000 creating now a 3rd water well – this one will be named ‘Bank of America Merrill Lynch / tsu’. I am humbled and cannot thank you enough for what the tsu community has done here using our philosophy and having it amplified. Your content and generosity has moved the needle for some underserved people far away. They will now have clean water. Today this effort was noted in the Social Times and I leave you with that.
