Just back from Calicut. Unable to sleep seeing ur messages... I think I owe you an explanation and here I go... Dear friends, For all of u who loved my band and me unconditionally, u have all the right to hate, abuse or disown us too... I understand how the incident hurt ur sentiments. And my heartfelt apologies for the same. I only wish...if you knew what actually happened last evening and not believed what the organizers and speakers said on stage to cover up for their fault. For those of you who do not have a picture of what happened there! We were looking forward to having a wonderful evening with our folks in Calicut. We have performed there many a number of times and we truly felt tat this city is a performers delight. But unfortunate was the turn of events this time. The show was highly mismanaged . To give you jst a gist of it... The inauguration of the fest was planned at 5 pm....and... We wer not given the stage settings, the connections for our instruments and the sound for check, till 4 pm... By when it was already late for us to start working .The organizers, the stage setters and the sound providers wer playing a blame game amongst themselves. Matter even reached to a point where we were abused by some involved. Now we had 2 options in front of us. One, to perform in a very bad sound set up, With mics not working, songs heard in bits and pieces and sound howling into ur ears! Next, to leave with dignity and wait for them to arrange everything and bring us back . In both the cases we would have disappointed you. And we chose the second option. Because we thought , you hating us for not performing before u, is better than hating us for disappointing you with a bad concert. We have had experiences of compromising on the sounds and performing, for our audience sake. And we remember how our well wishers messaged us on our quality drop. We did not want leave tat impression in the hearts of our fans in Calicut. Anyways, I believe all tat happened was bound to happen. And though I read most of u messaging tat u dont want to see us back in Calicut, I am extremely hopeful tat we will get back together, in the same city soon. And we will share the thing ... The only thing tat brought us to gether... Music! And once again in the name of Music, my sincere apologies to all the hearts I hurt tday! Goodnight!
