Just back from a wonderful trip to Idaho to see family and friends. While there I ran into a old assumed nemesis from 30 years ago. Ray Hartley Is a name some of you will remember from Ontario. Ray was a cop in a small town and had plenty of reasons to keep an eye on me and my friends. Not knowing what to expect I approached him and introduced myself. you afforded my a lot of leeway as a youth and for that Im greatfull I said. A huge smile came across his face. A big bearhug surprised me. I stated he was a good man, he shared the sentiment. As we parted we both looked back in appreciation of one another ,it seemed a perfect moment. Next time I see him maybe Ill bring up the time I honked and waved as he drove a shiny new cruzer into the back of a stopped car while looking at me. ....maybe not.
