Just back from the annual ski trip. Thanks to the Brighton ski collective (all three generations of you !!) for a great week. So, my ruminations conclude that : The laws of physics dictate that 17.5 stones going down a mountain on two composite planks involves the sorts of forces normally associated with the space shuttle re-entering earth orbit - a lot of heat is involved and its fairly hit and miss whether it will all turn out OK in the end. If you are simultaneously out skied by a 75 year old (Ray) and an 8 year old (Tommy) it is OK to sit out the next two runs at a mountain restaurant with a cup of hot chocolate and contemplate Plato (or Jeremy Clarkson - whoever is your philosopher of choice). French Audi Q7 drivers are very closely related to their UK cousins - and are as about a popular with me as the pot bellied git mentioned above. Oddly enough French waiters can be quite polite if you at least try and engage them with a few basic words from their own language rather than the typical Brit way of speaking loudly and slowly in English with a French accent. Daily Mail readers please take note. Geneva Airport check in debunks the long held theory of Swiss efficiency and a Mercedes B class hire car debunks the long held theory of superior German engineering. Still - a cracking week, still have all the requisite limbs attached, the knees still just about work and I think we might have another go next year.
