Just been listening to some Gimp Fist and something just - TopicsExpress

Just been listening to some Gimp Fist and something just clicked. The track Betrayed from The place where I belong has a movie soundbite at the end. I recognised this immediately when I first heard it some time ago as being from the film Made in Britain starring Tim Roth. The soundbite says...how many unemployed are there...millions...so what chance have you got and was a true reflection of those times in early 80s and so apt to be selected by Gimp Fist for inclusion on that track. The soundbite can be located in the clip below at 6:20. Whilst I have been a fan of this film since its creation in 82 and heard this track in recent years I never made the realisation that the actor that played the part with that soundbite in Made in Britain was a Geoffrey Hutchings who in his later acting career played the part of Mel Harvey in the comedy show Benidorm. Geoffrey is sadly no longer with us and Gimp Fist have sadly split. I never got a chance to see Gimp Fist live and was excited at having tickets to see them in June in London...but alas that is now not happening. If you have not yet seen the film Made in Britain then do so...if you have not given Gimp Fist a listen yet then do so. https://youtube/watch?v=z7MphIYj7h0
