Just came back for the Allergy clinic with my test results. As I predicted since the onset of my skin reaction after I dyed my hair black 3 years ago and still have reoccurring breakouts with scaring: I am allergic to (PPD) The correct name is p-Phenylenediamine and it is in the ingredients in hair dyes and other things. I tested positive. I also tested positive for Disperse Blue 106. Ladies please before dying your hair do the testing mentioned on the package as you never know when you can become allergic to hair dye. I dyed my hair for over 20 years and never was allergic to hair dye, and remember our bodies change about every seven years so PLEASE for your own sanity and health do the pretesting.
