Just came back from a dinner closing the 2013 Experiential Classroom program at the University of Florida. This program invites 75 new Entrepreneurship professors from around the world for 4 days of training on how to teach Entrepreneurship and build curriculum. I am part of the teaching faculty brought in by the University to help teach in some of the sessions. At the closing dinner, they awarded me with the 2013 Karl Vesper Pioneer Award for distinguished achievements in advancing the discipline of entrepreneurship. Karl is one of the founders of our discipline and I had the honor of receiving this award directly from Karl! This is one of the highest honors I have ever received in my 30 years as an Entrepreneurship professor. I am humbled by the incredible people who chose me for this award and I am extremely proud of the Entrepreneurship program we have created at San Diego State University. Go Aztecs!
