Just came from dropping my son to his mom for the weekend n stopped at the fish market ti get my salmon as usual. Saw this little girl paying for some shrimps n stuff but she had on this short, short, tight shorts n it bothered me. I didnt know if i should have said something but the God in me asked me to speak out n so i did. I said, excuse me, please do not take this the wrong way, how old are u? She looked around as if looking for approval to answer me but with a slight hesitancy n shyness, she said 12. I asked, why r u dressed like a grown women n she gave me this confused look as if to say, no im and so she replied, i dont think so. I said, ur shorts are short n its almost showing ur private parts n half ur behind is out. She looked slightly embarrassed n so i said, its ok, u r a beautiful young sister n u just have to dress in a way that covers ur body. Grown men may look at u in the wrong way n thats attention u do not need. Men will not respect u if u do not respect yourself but i could be ur dad n i have much respect for u so i care n wanted u to know. That made her feel better n she gave a little smile n i said have a blessed day n stay beautiful n she said ok n left. Maybe i was out of place to say something, same may say or think but i saw this little girl n i saw a daughter that i dont have. I pray what i said stay with her into womanhood. I dont care what anyone says, kids are not n will never be the same without loving dads in their lives.. A message like that to a young girl will have more of an impact on her coming from her dad than her mom, especially one that may be dressing that way. i will always care n say something regardless how other people may feel about me.. AT THE END OF THE DAY, PEOPLE CAN SAY WHAT THEY WANT ABOUT ME BUT ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ME AND PEOPLE IS, WHEN GOD SPEAKS TO ME, I LISTEN.. HOW MANY OF THEM CAN SAY THAT
