Just came in from picking another bushel of peas from my garden. It is so humid out there, 15 minutes and my clothes were soaking wet with sweat. Mary has already put about 10-12 quarts of peas in the freezer. With squash, tomatoes, corn (my neighbor had me come pick 4 rows of corn for us, 28 bags of corn on the cob, 6 ears to a bag), and pink-eyed purple hull peas, our freezer is almost full. Plus quart jars of tomatoes, new potatoes & pint jars of homemade hot pepper sauce (Jalapeño, Cayenne, Habanero), chow-chow, and pepper jelly. Unfortunately, our butter beans made nothing but vine, chopped them down yesterday, getting that spot ready for fall planting, collar greens and spinach (y) . Weve been busy and thankful to God for providing. :)
