Just catching up on Oscar nominees. Weve seen Nebraska and Dallas Buyers Club this week and both were excellent. What I have liked about these movies is that they spoke to the human reality of family isolation, of injustice, of pain and of redemption in unlikely places. I liked gravity (minus the writing) and it deserved the techno awards but 12 Years and these others had what Greg termed the real gravity and grit of life. Also loved Jane Mansfields Car which was a true gem. Philomena was also good. Havent gotten to Wolf of Wall Street. What do you all think?
