Just defending Herbalife and Juice plus ( yes rival companies BUT I know we both have alot to offer, and its up to you to make informed decisions to what is best for you) . there have always been and always will be blog posts, and viral rubbish that circulates the internet. One of the most recent is absurd, i cant talk for juice plus but i can for Herbalife! I certainly do not encourage clients to have dangerously low intake of calories. I know eat more loose weight is the way to go! I work out using scientific methods how much each of my clients should be eating, and what percentage of protein, carbs, fat ( macro - nutrients). I dont not encourage a rapid weight loss. and we focus more so on fat loss, helping with maintence once goal is reached. I am certainly not dropping weight too fast ( acctually I havent lost weight for a good few months, but people see me and say gosh you have lost more weight , NO I have lost more fat gained more muscle and get trimmer) or gaining anything back, or have a bad breath, or ruining my metabolism. My metabolic age has dropped from over 50 to 25 ( two years younger than what i am) I once was a skeptic. I dislike crash diets, yo-yo diets with a passion. I know for a fact that is not what Herbalife is. and as long as you got to a distributor who cares ( most of us do) and wants to help and not just looking at $ signs, like myself and everyone I have come across then you will get amazing support care and knowledge ( we have regular training days, and a huge online resources to help us help you) many in the Herbalife family are professional PTs and Nutritionists. We have the top nutritionists in the world working on developing the products. and in response to one I saw a few weeks back about the sugar : The shake powder itself contain just over 10 grams of sugar...equivalent to 40 calories.(amount in an apple or orange ) To comply with EU regulation, we have to label when made with semi skimmed milk...so half the sugar is the lactose in the milk. So sugar can be reduced by using different milks, like unsweetened soy, or using PDM with water The sugar is fructose NOT fructose corn syrup. Fructose corn syrup is used to sweeten products and Dr David Heber talked about this being heavily used in the States in high sugar drinks...... we use fructose from fruit,, and we botanically extract with water processes and no chemical intervention.... so it is not a processed fructose sweetener. The glycaemic factor of a product is based on how the ingredients are put together. We use soy protein which is one of the lowest Gi foods you can have; and then combine with plant carbohydrate and fibre...all of which therefore help to control blood sugar levels to avoid un-neccessary spikes and dips. Just wanted to put some of my points across. I did my reserach about herbalife along time before getting involved, I also have a sound knowledge of nutrition and fitness. So not some lady working in a chippy telling you how to be healthy .... dont engage in a debate with me, part of my new positive attitude to life is to not get involved in debates on FB. Just putting some FACTS out there! :D
