Just finished our appointment with Chases surgeon at Westmead Childrens Hospital to discuss his pending surgery to release the nerves and tendons in his hips, knees and feet. It was so hard to fight back the tears as our sons face drops as the surgeon speaks and explains the process and how bone will need to be removed. None of this will fix him everything we do is to make him feel comfortable as he progresses through this journey. We wish there was a better purpose for all this pain, sometimes we wish my son had cancer, at least we know people have fought and survived it, there is hope with every treatment for a chance of survival. This incurable disease is breaking our hearts, yes we know and have been told everyones going to die one day, and that we can accept with our own lives, but to watch our son go through this is gut wrenching, yet he never ceases to amaze us with his strength and courage. Hes so strong and awesome, so much stronger than we can be. But now to put my mask of strength on so I can make it through a day at work without breaking down, still have a family to support and uphold. Hope you all have a blessed day Xx
