Just finished reading The Book Thief. I just had to get to the end!! I have had a love of reading all my life, bestowed upon me by my mother. I cannot imagine not having a book to read on a daily basis, but I know that is the case for many people. My love of reading has been a gift, thanks mom! Reading books has taken me all over the world and shown me the horror of World War II, but also a glimpse of some of the kindness and love of people that existed in the midst of evil.
