Just finished the first three of a five day residency at Callahan Elementary in Florida... Great little 2nd grade actors. A good loud Snow White, A sensitive Huntsman, A Handsome Prince who didnt missed a line in six run -throughs, and a Queen who may be the best little actress ever to play the role (Including some high school actresses) ... But what really caught my eye, as a retired SC high school principal, was the building... Obviously old... Im thinking it was built in the 40s or 50s... but immaculate... well maintained... (Thats a good principal doing their job) You see this in SC... A school district lacking the funds (No industry , or a general lack of local public support... or whatever) But so often, in SC, the building suffers from neglect. Not here... Everything is clean, neat and polished... Upgrades are evident (Look at the pics of the lighting and the condenser mics in the cafetorium)... Milner and I had a great three days working here... (Yes, Milner is working...I know it looks like hes texting in the photo, but I think hes just resting his head... from the hard work...)
