Just flown over Qatar - a great place I visited from 2004 - 2009 on various work trips. I am sure its changed a lot now, there was massive infrastructure growth when I was working there. I believe the flight between Bahrain (a BA stop off) and Qatar is the shortest commercial scheduled international flight in the world (correct me if I am wrong). It takes no more than 20 minutes in the air, but that is after sitting on the aircraft for 90 minutes at Bahrain! Its easy to see who is flying for work and who are on holiday. The workers are either working, or sleeping. Those on holiday are laying their hands on everything then can :-) The bar is full (passed it on way to rear toilets - mind you). 54 minutes to go until Dubai. Its just started to look like dusk now. Time seems to have errr flown by :)
