Just for interest The intention of this page is to assist the community in communicating service delivery issues and to share information. When we experience a crisis such as the past week where the cold weather has resulted in increased demands for electricity and the combination from maintenance, overloading and cable theft let to large scale interruptions, it is remarkable to see the level of engagement on this page. Some stats for the past week: 280new community members registered on the page. 120 new people registered on the sms line. Average post reach the past week was 11 376 and the total reach of different people this week who read messages were 21 000. Posts were shared to other pages 313 times and we had 1500 likes and 2000 comments in this period. We also had on average 2 people a day who unliked the page. Nobody were blocked from the page. Membership of the page grew to 8 097 this week (From 2 000 last year end November). 94% of this membership is South African, the other 3% is shared across 32 countries, mainly in Africa and Europe. English is by far the majority language registered on this site (98%). eMalahleni residents make up 77% of all members to this page. The other 23% are spread amongst cities in the other 31 countries and in 48 different cities in South Africa, the majority in Mpumalanga and Gauteng.
