Just found my rewrite of "Imagine" by John Lennon. This was done for one of my grad school classes in Integrated Arts Education. If you want to sing it, then go ahead because you probably all know the tune. Imagine Revised by Renee’ Helms Imagine there’s no art class, It’s easy if you try, No paints or crayons, No art supplies to buy, Imagine all the savings If this class was gone Imagine there’s no drama, No dance nor strings as well, If anyone should argue, We’ll tell them “go to hell” Cause think of all the money It will save the board Well, you may say that’s a nightmare And you’re not the only one But if somehow you don’t change things Then someday the arts may all be gone Imagine there’s no music, It’s easy if you try, No need for band or chorus, Let’s kiss them both good-bye, Imagine all the arts gone If only for one day Well, you may say that’s a nightmare And you’re not the only one But if somehow you don’t change things Then someday the arts may all be gone
