Just gave three young boys a class in Manners 101: 1) When you see someone (Mom, Dad, grandma, neighbor and especially Mama Sue) getting groceries from her car (or putting them in the car), you walk over and say May I help you with that? Not when you feel like it, BUT every time. 2) If someone needs assistance getting something on the bottom shelf, opening a door for them, etc., you walk over and say May I help you? or just open the door w/o saying anything. How often do you do this? EVERY time. Do you want people to think you are a nice guy or a jerk? (Thankfully, they all answered nice guy.) Follow these lessons and you will always be the nice guy. Whew, glad I got that out of the way. And Sioban Reynolds and Traci D. McGee Amacher you can thank me later.
