Just going put this out there ... is there a correlation between the quality of sports reporters on CBC and the fact that the TV side of the network is going down the tube? Exhibit A: Its spelled W-I-M-B-L-E-D-O-N - no P and no T anywhere in that word. So why is it that the lady at the anchor desk for CBCs Wimbledon coverage called it Wimpleton - EVERY TIME? Exhibit B: Several events in the Commonwealth Games are being held at H-A-M-P-D-E-N Park. How does that become Hampton Park in the eyes of CBCs female co-anchor (possibly the same person who commits the Wimpleton travesty every time)? Dont get me wrong - I love and support the Mother Corp. and I listen to it all the time in the car, but the TV side of the network is going to hell in a hand basket. Given the poor quality of network programming on TV these days, youd think it would be a slam-dunk to compete, but CBC seems to be trying hard to be the first to the bottom ...
