Just got back from a weekend up in Denver; a few thoughts: To say that there was a great weight lifted off of me with the official launch of Violence of Action is a serious understatement. I dont think I knew what I was getting myself into when I started this project 15 months ago. I cant thank everyone that was involved in making this a reality enough. We held the launch party on Saturday night at Jezebels Southern Bistro + Bar and they were awesome hosts. Thank you for having us. Kyle Fabra, thank you again for setting it all up, you went way above and beyond. I was lucky to have a few of the contributing writers available to sign books. Chris Bemiss is a former B co 1/75 Ranger and quadriplegic. Despite the challenges of traveling, he made the solo trip from L.A. to Denver. Colby Bradley flew from North Caroline to Denver. Matthew R. Sanders drove from Kansas City to Denver. Cyrus Leopold Norcross drove from Arizona to Denver. Although Iassen Donov only had to travel a few blocks, he actually canceled a trip to Las Vegas that he already had plane tickets and everything for. I was absolutely humbled to have these guys by my side for this launch, thank you so much. We had a ton of supporters show up, both Rangers and not. It was awesome to meet everyone, drink with Ranger buddies, and catch up with some that I had not seen in years like John Tymko and Kris Urquhart. It was truly a memorable night, one I wont soon forget. Finally, I would be remiss not to mention my wife Lauren Skovlund. She has supported me from the very beginning of this book, and stepped up at the launch party to not only take care of our seven week old daughter, but also help with selling the books that we were signing. I cant wait to hear what everyone thinks about the book, I hope at minimum I did the Ranger community justice. One favor to ask, please take a moment to review the book over at Amazon, it does make a difference. If you have sent me a Facebook message over the past few days, I will get back to you soon. I have a back log of about 75 messages from this weekend alone, and it will take me a minute to get through them all - thanks for your patience! One more thing... Thank you to all of you who have volunteered your time and efforts to help market this book. Getting the word out is huge, and I absolutely couldnt have done it without your help. Mat Best Dany Stormborn Drogo Khalasar Jarred Taylor Boone Cutler Eric A. Farris Jack Murphy Ian D Scottish Kerry Patton Nick Palmisciano Donny Bassett Raul Felix Mario Wasing RU Rob Greg Drobny Shiloh Appel all really stepped up to the plate to help me out on the marketing front, I hope I will be able to return the favor to you some day! That all being said, if you havent checked out the book yet - here is the link!
