Just got chased back from Mt Rainier by the Weather. Yesterday, I went down through Woodinville, Carnation, Enumclaw and down 410 to enter the park on the SE side. I did this to avoid the crowds and construction at the SW entrance. It was 102 degrees in Packwood when I got a fill-up there. I camped at Ohanopeckosh campground (always good for a walk-in and rode up to Paradise for dinner and to take a few pictures. Got caught in a mild thunderstorm coming down. This morning, I ate an awesome breakfast at the pizza place in Packwood (huge portions, good food) and rode back out the way I came. I only encountered rain going through Auburn and had dry roads going home.
