Just got home. Kassidi still resting well. The fever is not going down to normal. They are leaning toward removing the fistula. The scan showed the beginnings of another abcess. The area around it is red and swollen but no fluid in the pocket yet. But Infectious disease doctor said any sign at all, the fistula will be removed, which means another surgery and figuring out another way to do dialysis. She is amazing. I know I have said this so many times, over and over, but she amazes me every day. I am so proud of her, just as I would, if she finished college and fulfilled her nursing degree as she always tried to do. She has been and still is a fighter. She will not let the Lupus, dialysis, or infections get her without a fight, she will fight to the end, no doubt.
