Just got off the phone with the prison . . . James Mills died on June 17, 2013. I instantaneously fell to my knees (literally) and said, through my sobs, "God, please forgive him". I hope he made his peace with God before dying. I hope I can now let go of my fears that resulted from his violent crimes. It was 25 years ago but seems like only yesterday, at times. Maybe now I can stop always looking over my shoulder, waiting for him to finish the job he started when he held the cold steel of that gun to my head (a gun he used to shoot and kill my co-worker). Praying for peace . . . for both of us . . . for all of us there those fateful 2 days in 1988.
