Just got this email from Paonia Town Clerk: Due to extensive vandalism at the Town Park, the bathrooms will be closed unless there is a special event such as a football game, a festival, etc. If you have information regarding the destruction of the bathrooms, please contact the Police Department at 527-4822. Thank you~ In my opinion the park bathrooms should NOT be closed. The town has insurance to cover the vandalism. Secondly, the Chief of Police is always telling victims of crime to install a cam. Ditto for the town. Come on Paonia Town administration, this is ridiculous. Provide this service to the town and to our visitors. We HAVE insurance.
