Just got to watch the film adaptation of The Normal Heart and it was perfect and heartbreaking. This film was riveting, fresh and unforgiving. There was never a moment I doubted this film and the actors commitment to this story. These actors gave more than imaginable to this film. Ryan Murphy managed to capture what I saw in the theatre on Broadway and put it into a film in a new and fresh perspective. The changes that were made to the original text were exceptional and really streamlined this story. Mark Ruffalo blew me away with his performance as Ned Weeks. Julia Roberts gave Dr. Brookner life. Jim Parsons showed us what an amazing actor he really is with his portrayal of Tommy Boatwright. Taylor Kitsch broke my heart. I cant even talk about Matt Bomer. Just wow. If you dont see another film this year, see The Normal Heart. I will give you my HBO Go info so you can watch it. There are several showings coming up on HBO this week. Take the time, sit down and live this film. Its important. Its relevant. Its real.
