Just had a guy Ive been arguing with on the internet try to ridicule me for the unusual words and phrases I use when writing (e.g. - I made reference to his statements and pronouncements as containing vapidity). He told me Im trying too hard and that no one talks like that. Oh, but yes I do, sir! Ask anyone who knows me! I talk like this all the time, day and night, online and offline! If Im not quietly contemplating and listening, Im typically employing my verbose tendencies with reckless abandon! My retort to his trying to make me feel small for using words that are big is that sometimes when people such as myself try really hard to avoid an over-reliance people like him have on shock words and profanity and insults, we find big and unusual and a-typical words and phrases to be useful for communicating with accuracy our sentiments. That and hes just mad he had to open a dictionary tab on his web browser.
